Kapa Haka 2019

Today is the day for the roopu, we finally  perform in front of Kawakawa school and other schools and whanau out there.
I started to get a bit nervous as we got there. It was fun because we got to watch the other roopus from different schools we started with the year 4’s and 5’s . After every roopu there was a song on or there will be challenges up these were the challenges dancing for the girl  and Ngapuhi haka for the boys. A few minutes later we performed on stage Whea Crissy and Whea Becks turned up and that's when we started performing I was really proud of the roopu and myself. We kept saying to ourself it's not a challenge its to have fun and try our best next time I think I can smile more and I enjoyed being there and participating,

Marble Challenge

Hey Bloggers,
In Te Ngahere we have been doing this marble challenge. We had to get into two or three groups my group is Mikala We made our ramp with a container and a led. We had points if your marble gets within 1.1 cm you get 5 points 3 points if the marbles stops within 5.5 cm
2 points if the marbles stops within 11 cm
1 point if the marbles stops within 22 cm
we marked a line where we wanted the marble to go. When we were done  making our ramp we made reflection it was about what we change and and why we change it. What we change was the materials..  Next time we can learn more about variable and not change thing around and I think what we done good was try not to change thing around all the time. What I think we did well was working  as a team

KAPA HAKA

This week and last week we have been working really hard for Kapa Haka. This is because there is a cultural festival taking place at Kawakawa School. We practice at morning tea and lunch times so we perform better on stage. My focus is to smile when it is a happy song and if it’s a haka, pukana throughout it. At Kawakawa School we will be doing an entrance, three waiata, a haka and an exit. I’m looking forward to performing what we have learnt. Blog ya later.

We answered Plastic, Plastic bags,Plastic bottles and glass these even more than that. I was so surprised how many thing she finds in the water when she cleans the beaches.Tracy told us how much rubbish is in our sea and  There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic in the ocean.
